Welcome to Tapping In!
Welcome to Tapping In, a professional development program designed for community-facing foundation staff. Our program responds to the expressed need for meaningful professional development opportunities that focus on trust, relationship-building, and reciprocity. We offer tailored support to meet specific, prioritized needs identified by foundation leadership and individual program officers.
At Tapping In, we understand the importance of the program officer and those who interact with community members in successful foundation strategy.

Our program offers:
-
Ongoing professional development tailored to specific challenges faced by frontline foundation staff, as well as connection and support.
-
Methods to overcome the shortfalls of other typical models by building skills to strengthen practice over time, including reflective practice, peer support models, and self- and role-awareness.
Our program aim:
-
To build program staff skills leading to more efficient and higher quality work, leverage program staff to align strengths and actions to realize organizational priorities, and help program staff feel more supported and fulfilled.
-
Assist foundation leaders as they recruit and retain staff interested in ongoing growth and development, support onboarding of foundation staff new to the sector, and realize community impact where nonprofit and community leaders experience foundation staff as good partners.
At Tapping In, we:
-
Embrace a growth mindset from the outset.
-
Establish clear outcomes, which we evaluate, and integrate learning practices ongoing in the design of the work so that lessons can be incorporated along the way.
